  STEEL PROPERTIES

                     we where study about ore, alloy , metal ,rock ,minerals . ore is a mineral or an aggregate of minerals form which a valuable constituent ,especially a metal can be profitably mined or extracted. minerals is a composed of the same substance throughout . rock is made up of 2 or more minerals. alloy is made up  of a metal by combining 2 or more metallic elements. metal - an alloy of 2 or more metallic elements. therefore, rock have minerals which in large concentration are called ores and these are mined  for metals. iron to steel- it is a basic oxygen process to make the bulk of standard grade -steel uses an oxygen point to blow pressurized oxygen into a furnace containing pig iron. electric are furnace process to make high quality special steel stainless steel. uses carbon electrodes to create powerful electric arc that metals the metals. iron ore, coke, limestone they are the raw materials and carbon additive , sulfur and silicon byproduct are the process. aluminium,  chromium , copper, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, tungsten. these are the metals where used in the construction . compression, tension, due to that a metal can break in the neck. in that in a steel both the sides where placed a load it gives a compression and tension , a deformation strain will appear. brittle- ductile or ductility capable of being draw out into wire or threads and able to undergo change of form without breaking. hardness is a measure of how much a material resists changes in shape. hard things resist pressure. e.g diamond, concrete, steel. metal has physical and chemical properties . metal is the strongest architectural material where it has attractive, lustrous, vulnerable heat, conductive to heat and electricity and easy to work. advantages of steel it is resist high loads high strength , easy to transport assemble and disable, replace, long life homogenous strength and density, pre fabrication easy of handling, strengthened by connecting additional section and plates , inspection is easy and quick. disadvantage is corrosion and costly.
