STEEL ERECTION CONSIDERATIONS Erection of the structural steelwork means the assembly of individual steel members into a structure on site. This shall include lifting and placing objects in a particular position, and then connecting them together. The connection system including welding and bolting can be used for this purpose. There are some tasks that should be considered while erecting the steel on site. 1. There shall be adequate access roads where there can be safe delivery of supplies and proper movement of equipment 2. The foundation should be checked that if it is suitable for such steel erections. 3.
