FABRICATION, ERECTION AND HYBRID STRUCTURES FABRICATION: Fabrication is the process used to manufacture steelwork components that will, when assembled and joined, form a complete frame.   The process of steel fabrication involves grinding, welding, cutting, bending, drilling, punching, burning or melting, and other general crafting methods using various  high-quality tools and CNC equipment . The entire steel fabrication process is systematic and requires the utmost planning, precision, and knowledge. Steel fabricators are well aware of all the crucial steps and measures that need to be taken care of in the fabrication process.  Structural steel is usually fabricated to create structures like beams, trusses, hollow sections, angles, and plates. ERECTION : The erection of structural steelwork consists of the assembly of  steel components  into a frame on site. The processes involve lifting and placing components into position, then connecting them together...

Steel fabrication, erection and hybrid construction Fabrication: In fabrication methods such as grinding, welding, cutting, bending, drilling, punching, burning or melting are involved. High quality tools and Computer Numerical Controller equipment is also used. Crucial steps and measures are needed to be done in this process. Structural steel is usually fabricated to create structures like beams, trusses, hollow sections, angles and plates. Structures have to be specifically designed and fabricated before constructing and assembling them together.   Steel erection:   Erection is done with the help of cranes or by jacking and lifting and placing components. Bolted connections are done to keep the components secure and bracing is also done. Structure alignment is essential by checking the column bases to be lined and levelled. The process involves lifting and placing an exact position by connecting together. Connections may be achieved by bolting,...

Spin wheel making

SPIN WHEEL ACTIVITY  Isn't it boring to learn things in the usual way? How about learning it all through some fun activity !!! The spin wheel is very easy to make just by following few steps.  Materials required for making the spin wheel  Pens/ pencils Papers Scissors/ cutter  Glue Compass Ruler Pin/ thread The following are the 3 simple steps I followed in making the spin wheel :  Step 1 The papers shall be cut into 3 circles with required measurements. Step 2 Write necessary information in all the circles according to the spin.  Step 3 Arrange the circles in order and tie it using thread or just pin it.  The spin wheel is ready to be played with.  - Nandhini P
