Erection, fabrication and hybrid construction of steel

Fabrication use structurally by cutting, forming, machining, bending, welding, and assembling processes by site erections. Fabrication needs skilled labor for transforming raw components to market items. The process of fabrications done in site or factory according to space constrains issues and humanity and requirement. Market steels have assembled in site. The structures or membrane need to be handled carefully while transport to the site.

Erection is the structural steelwork that happens in a frame on site. The process involves lifting and placing an exact position by connecting together. Connections may be achieved by bolting, welding, and sometimes riveting. erections may be achieved by two techniques such as MEWP(Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) by Mobile crane and Tower cranes. While the erection single part of steel will be shipped to prevent the damage after transport parts have been assembled in site. Weatherproofing does need while shipping steel. Long members or structures cannot be shipped due to road safety and restriction. Long structures and members can be shipped as separate parts. Need skilled labor to handle. Hidden bolts were used to all welded structures to an erection. Using padded supported points so as not to damage the intumescent applied coating. (1)

Hybrid construction is an innovative technique in construction by combining different materials or techniques in one structure like a combination of steel and wood in a concrete structure. The exterior structure has been prevented by galvanizing coating or other waterproof membranes on it. This type of constructions has done through proper design strategies.  Linked hybrid by Steeven Holls and Brentwood station byBusby associates is a good example of hybrid constructions.
