DESIGN INTENTION

It Is An Artwork Storage Unit That Doubles As A Showroom For Work That
Is Not Currently On Display In The Nearby Gallery.

Two floors above the ground level

The floor plan is simple and open. It has A staircase, sanitary
block and kitchen

There are two windows on the ground floor for light and
ventilation
MATERIAL
-
The building’s roof and facades are clad in corrugated steel sheeting,
commonly used in warehouses

The outer shell is like a curtain wall and
functions as a sunscreen as well as for rain cover

This reinterpret the vernacular forms of contextual farmhouses
TECHNICAL
-
The heavy concrete and masonry structural system
is wrapped by 180 mm of mineral
wool insulation covered with a coloured fiberglass air and water
barrier, under the perforated steel cladding.

The perforated metal panel on the wall is trapezoidal shape stiffens
the sheet metal, making it possible to maintain strength and stability with less sheet metal
thickness.

A second layer of perforated steel screens surround the building,
supported on aluminum struts that extend from the walls and roof.
