Different between composition of metals blog8
There are many vast type of metals available, many metals would appear to be similar in color but there are many differences in their characteristics which has the effect on its physical and chemical properties
Brass and Bronze:
Brass is a alloy which consists of copper and zinc , increase in the quantity of zinc may improve the strength and ductility of the metal
Bronze is a metal which is made of copper and we can easily say it is much stronger than copper and the primary difference between brass and bronze is we can find wrinkles on the surface of bronze
Wrought iron and Cast iron:
Cast iron contains 2-4 percentage of carbon , it is produced by moulding. It has high carbon content , brittle, castable and strong
Wrought iron contains 0.02 percentage of carbon, it is produced by working by hammer. It has very low carbon content , ductile, workable and has high tensile strength
Copper and Aluminium:
Copper and aluminium are different in color and they are differently used based on the characteristics, tensile strength of copper is high compared to aluminium whereas thermal expansion of aluminium is high.
