We are going to see about Bokaro steel city in this blog. Bokaro Steel Plant (BSP) is located in the Bokaro district of Jharkhand. It is the fourth integrated public sector steel plant in india built with sovient help. It was incorporated as a limited company in 1964. It was later merged with the state-owned steel authority of india limited (SAIL) INTRODUCTION: *SAIL is the leading steel making company of india. *sail is india's largest steel production company with a turn over of RS 47,042 crore. *Application of steel production (domestic construction, engineering,power,railway,automotive,defence industries) Bokaro steel city is the fourth integrated steel plant in public sector well known as swadeshi plant. total area(33,045.35 acres ) CAPACITY: *First phase :1.7 MT of ingot steel *Second phase:4.0 MT of ingot steel *After modernization: 4.5 MT of liquid steel *Enough scope for further expansion (plan for 7MT) Types of products: *Flat product *Rolled product
