MARKET FORMS OF STEEL

In today's session we got to know about the different market forms of steel.

The different market forms of steel which are available are:

ANGLE SECTIONS:

Steel Angle Basics - Angle Types & Applications
(1) Angle sections

- Most basic type of sections available in the market.
- Its in the shape of the letter ''L''
- The legs of the letter ''L'' can be equal or unequal in length.

CHANNEL SECTIONS 


- Its in the shape of the letter ''C''
- It consists of a web and two flanges.
- Its classified under ISJC, ISLC, ISMC.

- These sheets are mostly used for roofing.
- These sheets have grooves which helps in reflecting sunlight when it falls on this roofing sheet.

- Machine cut or drawn out or expanded 
- Appearnce: Diamond mesh 
- Metal lathing material

-Used for partitions, reinforcing concrete in foundations, roads, floors, etc.
