PREFABRICATED NATURE
LOCATION: Cedeira, Spain
BUILDING TYPE: vacation house
MATERIALS:
- perforated COR-TEN weathering steel panels- facade
- viroc(a prefabricated panel composed of eucalyptus wood shavings in a cement-based matrix)- roof and side facades
PLANNING:
Six prefabricated modules-
Three of the prefabricated modules were combined into the open living space, while the other three contain bedrooms, a bath and stair, and a kitchen, respectively.

CONSTRUCTION:
- galvanized steel columns and beams
- concrete floor decks
- facade walls total 2.2' (660 mm) in thickness and include a ventilated rain screen and a total of 4.7" (120 mm) of insulation.
ST.ANDREWS BEACH HOUSE
LOCATION: Victoria, Australia
BUILDING TYPE: beach house
MATERIALS: recyclable steel, wood, and glass
PLANNING:
organized in two distinct elements connected by a promenade deck-
- an open dining/living space
- compartmented bedrooms and a study
The building is raised on columns with parking and storage underneath.
SPECIAL FEATURE:
The house has a protective outer layer made from industrial steel floor gratings, which hinge open to form brise-soleil shutters.
The shutters reduce glare and radiant heat gain on the home’s glass exterior walls.
