first, let see about the location, the site is elevated and exposed to sea view. so in winter, it can be forced to glace winds, their design intention is to have minimum exposure although the house is beach bouse, only the room to room necessity are exposed to summer heat and winter chill main idea is to chill from office work and spending their weekend's characteristics of the Australian architecture is redesigned and abstracted in their functional and landscape quality.
The materiality of this design, more of recyclable steel and glass are used steel floor gratings are used as protective layer shutters are used to reduce glare and radiant heat and it is also used cover the roof as a renewable source the floor finished and exterior decking is made up of recyclable wood.
The vacation house - prefabricated-Spain
this house is prefabricated in three months. The terrain of the land is steep and the vegetation of the forest is major of eucalyptus. spaces are wisely connected with the surrounding landscape there were a total of six modules, three were combined into the living space, while the other three contain a bedroom, bath, and stairs. space above the module opens to view the sea and acts as a multifunctional area. Depending upon the surrounding landscape material is used.
Glass facades are perforated with COR-TEN steel panels (Cor-ten is a high strength, low alloy, weldable structural steel). meal screen used in filtration of sunlight and it also acts as shutters providing protection from storm and intruders. viroc is a prefabricated panel composed of eucalyptus and cement matrix. it is used in roofs and facades. now let's see how this prefabricated modules traveled over 435 miles are getting assembled.
